The iThrive framework helps us provide a range of therapeutic services tailored to meet different levels of need. Here’s how we support mental health across the five key areas:

Thriving

Our focus is on supporting children and young people to maintain good mental health and well-being. We support schools and educational settings to promote positive environments where children can grow, learn, and flourish. We do this by providing access to activities, resources, and support that encourages resilience and emotional well-being.

Navigating mental health services can be challenging, and we are here to help. Whether you need advice from a professional, self-help resources, or direction to relevant services, we provide the guidance needed for you to make informed decisions about your mental health support.

We offer evidence-based (NICE) psychological interventions to address mild to moderate mental health needs. This includes short-term therapies such as Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and group support for issues like anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and self-harm. Our goal is to provide practical, tailored support so that children can effectively manage their difficulties and start thriving.

For more complex or ongoing mental health difficulties, we work closely with TEWV CAMHS to provide intensive, specialised support. This includes longer-term therapy, specialist mental health services, and comprehensive assessments to ensure that children receive the expert care they need to manage their mental health and work towards recovery.

In cases where traditional treatments may not be suitable, we collaborate with TEWV CAMHS to manage serious risks to safety or well-being. This may involve coordinating with multiple services to keep the child safe, even if they are not ready or able to engage in conventional mental health treatment. Our focus is on providing the necessary support to manage risks and ensure safety.

By working together within the iThrive framework, we strive to offer clear guidance, responsive support, and effective interventions to help every child and young person in Teesside achieve better mental health and well-being.
