Overview:
The Men’s Mental Health Awareness Training aims to increase understanding and reduce stigma around men’s mental health issues within the workplace. This training focuses on equipping businesses and employees with the knowledge and tools to support men’s mental health, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
What you can expect from this training
- Educate on Men’s Health: Statistics and data highlighting the prevalence of mental health issues among men and common mental health challenges faced by men, including depression, anxiety, stress, and substance abuse.
- Raise Awareness: Identify and negotiate some of the barriers that stop men from accessing support.
- Recognise Signs and Symptoms: Identifying changes in behaviour, physical symptoms and understanding how men may express mental health struggles differently.
- Promote Wellbeing and Resilience: Including Self-Care Strategies, work-life balance and building resilience.
Providing Support and Resources: Information on available mental health services, both within the organization and in the community, including counselling, therapy, and helplines.
- Self-Care Strategies: Encouraging self-care practices that promote mental wellbeing, such as exercise, healthy eating, and stress management techniques.
- Work-Life Balance: Emphasizing the importance of work-life balance and providing practical tips to achieve it.
- Resilience Building: Techniques for building resilience and coping skills to handle stress and adversity.
RECOMMENDED TRAINING FOLLOWING THIS SESSION:
Mental Health First Aid: Basic training in mental health first aid to equip employees with the skills to assist colleagues with their mental health.
